Art Deco / Art Nouveau fonts

We've decided to put both Art Deco and Art Nouveau together under one category, simply because nowadays many conflate or confuse the two. In typefaces, Art Nouveau is typified by 1920s Hollywood movies style fonts – typically condensed and tall-looking with a high waist (e.g. the crossbars in letters like A and H is quite high; see Alder Road), but also broader and organic, like in Sisteron, for example.

Art Deco, on the other hand, is typically more geometric and more associated with the boldness and geometry of Brutalism. Many geometric sans — but by no means all — are just as happy categorized as Art Deco (e.g. Recovery).
