- About Malutzki Initials
- In 1980, Peter Malutzki, Heidi Hübner-Prochotta and Manfred Prochotta founded the FlugBlatt-Presse and began producing broadsheets, mostly woodcuts or linocuts, combined with hand-set typography, which they called FlugBlätter. During a Frankfurt book fair in the 1980s collector Rob Saunders acquired FlugBlatt No. 37 which now is part of the collection of Letterform Archive. In 2021 Letterform Arch posted it on social media, where Lena Schmidt saw it and fell in love with it. After contacting Peter Malutzki – he is working as a book artist today – and in close consultation with him, this revival was created under the name "Malutzki Initials" in the form of a layer font.
