About Anisette Petite Std
Anisette Petite can be described as a geometric sans serif typeface influenced by the 30s and the Art-Déco movement. In France, at that time, the Art-Déco spirit was mainly capitals. Therefore, adding lowercases, the story became more complicated. His stylistic references couldn’t anymore be restricted to the French Art-Déco period. The references expanded to include shop signs present in our cities throughout the twentieth century. The outcome of this Anisette Petite; a palette of slightly strange shapes, that does not strictly follow the geometrical, mechanical or historical principles. Anisette Petite capitals are designed a square proportions, to mix with narrow and wide Anisette caps.
