- About Field Gothic Wide
- The Field Gothic journey concludes with the Wide and X-Wide styles. Their broad, expansive forms were drawn from memories of old Columbia and Blue Note jazz albums, of signage at Eero Saarinen's old TWA terminal, and of midcentury auto-parts packaging. As with the Narrow and Standard ranges, the type is crisp and coolish, with a robust x-height, slightly superelliptical curves, almost monoline light weights and, in the bolder styles, snug fit and sharply contrasting junctures.
