- About Boucan
- Boucan explores the relationship between type and sounds ("Boucan" is french for very loud noise). As a variable font, it can be animated to react to sounds and music. As individual fonts, the system is a wonderful toolbox for creating striking images, posters, logos, or any place where the type needs to shout so loud it makes your eye hurt! Using OpenType substitution ("calt" feature, activated by default), it uses alternatively to different shapes for each letter in order to create un unique effect. When deactivated, the typeface uses a single form for each letter, thus created a "checkered" effect.
