About Punten
Punten is a spikey typeface. Its shapes were drawn directly on the screen, then further processed to achieve various degrees of exaggeration. While Punten Straight is a very readable hybrid of a small x‑height roman and a handwritten alphabet, the other two varietes have a more destructive attitude. In Punten Extremo, serifs and terminals have grown into vicious spikes (Punten actually means spikes or points in Dutch), while the exuberance of Punten Rondom vaguely recalls mannerist calligraphy from the 17th century.
