- About LD Vela
- The LD Vela text typeface was created by the German designer Holger Königsdörfer, initially as part of his final project at the University of Applied Sciences in Augsburg. It was developed in an elaborate process of experiments including calligraphy, printmaking and photography. The outcome is LD Vela, a vigorous yet friendly slab-serif. This family consists of four fonts: Regular and Bold (including Small Caps), and Italic and Bold Italic (including Swash Capitals). The extended character set includes various figure sets, currency symbols, swashes, ligatures and alternates – they make the LD Vela Family suitable for many different fields of high-quality typography.
