- About Tourette
- Tourette draws inspiration from 19th century French lightweight slab serifs, an under-explored area, full of beautiful, sensitive fonts. It comes in two versions: Normal – simple, delicate and legible, and Extreme full of little flourishes that give an exquisite, slightly frivolous, feel bordering on the manic. The controversial choice of name originates from one of the prevailing themes in the work of Barnbrook Fonts: the power of language. This nod to ‘obscenity in polite company’ provides both a direct contrast to the delicacy of the letterforms and the almost whimsical sounding name ‘Tourette’.
