- About Pembroke
- The design of Pembroke started with the letter shapes of Caslon Old Face. Placing a simple geometric grid over these letters revealed their systematic proportioning: the M is a square, the O is a circle, and the A is a triangle – all the letters are related to the square. The lowercase also uses a circle at its core, but has straight letters that are more condensed. This simple shift in rhythm makes for a lively pattern when set. Pembroke was created to bridge the gap between the cooler geometrics sans and the softer humanist ones. The family comprises of 16 fonts with weights from Hair to Ultra, its character set supports many languages, small capitals, arrows and other typographic details.
