- About Summa
- Summa by Don Sterrenburg has a classic roman spirit and bracketed, cupped serifs. Its narrow width and elevated x-height lend a lofty, elegant appearance and economic use of space. The italic style with its more calligraphic form is a well-balanced and thoughtful adaptation of the design for the regular weight. Summa Inline is a fascinating stylistic variation — a complete re-imagining of the structure of the forms found in the regular. The inline seems to twist in places, dropping out where strokes cross over each other creating a 3D, ribbon-like appearance. Summa Inline includes a set of swash capital letters to give any setting that extra little dash of calligraphic flare and exuberance.
