- About Helfa
- Helfa’s sturdy bracketed serifs are subtly cupped and tapered at shallow angles, hold up confidently below 12 points with a graceful appearance in larger settings. Strokes are gently concave and curves have stress strategically located along their axis. The wedge-shaped terminal is a recurring feature throughout the typeface, especially in the italics. The italics are slightly lighter and narrower than the uprights for added differentiation, allowing for emphasis in text. Helfa has a generous x-height, economical proportions, and a stroke thickness-to-height ratio of 1:7, with a reasonable contrast. Thoughtfully planned and carefully crafted, Helfa will at once seem like an old friend.
