About Harri Display
Harri is a display uppercase-only typeface based on the idiosyncratic letter forms used in signs and fascias all over the Basque Country. This lettering style, very often used as an identity signifier, evolved from ancient inscriptions carved on gravestones which can still be found in the French part of the Basque Country. Harri Display takes some of its more significant features from those engravings, but also from the current overemphasized shapes derived from them, while keeping in sight their ancient roots: the Roman Capitals. Harri Display come with 872 glyphs and a lot of alternates, ligatures and stylistic sets inspired by the interlocking tricks found in those inscriptions.
