About Tofino Variable
All the things you love about Swiss style typography but with more hang loose attitude. Tofino’s letterforms are inspired by the Neo-Grotesque typefaces of the Swiss International Style but with some buttons undone and some laces a little wiggly. The design is inspired by small, descriptive labeling text used throughout an old type specimen. Tofino is a slightly squared, condensed workhorse family that is well-suited to a screen environment. The letterforms may have a European origin, but they were made on the West Coast of BC and some of that wild, rainforest energy made its way into the design.
